The Dark Flame Series (The Rise of the Darkest Flame, Under a Veil of Shadows, and The Resurrection of the Darkest Flame) is considered to be dark fantasy and may contain some media that is not suitable for some audiences, including adult content that is not suitable for anyone under the age of 18 YEARS OLD.

This includes,  but is not limited to:

 depictions of torture, mentions of child-loss and stillbirth, death, gore, cruelty to animals and children (non-descriptive), mentions of forced-breeding, and explicit sexual scenes that are written in detail. All sexual interactions are consensual. 

There are also mentions of and brief depictions of someone struggling with self-harming behaviors such as: alcoholism.
